Ghana - Orthopedic Treatments

The last medical trip to Ghana was from 8th December until 26th December 2021. It was in the orthopaedic Department and Physiotherapy Centre in Jamasi/ Kongo-Mampong.

Our team was buildt from a group of Doctors working in Al Zahra Hospital Dubai:
- Dr. Andreas Appelt, Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon,
- Dr. Ahmed Labib Zarad, Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon and
- Dr. Afshin, Consultant Anaesthesist.

Our team was seeing 310 patients during our visit.

Out of this cases, we performed 65 big surgeries:
-Deformities on upper and lower limbs - 32
-Club feet - 20
-Mal union on Bones - 8
-Bone- and Joint Infections - 5
