School for children in need
On November 19th 2018, after overcoming many hurdles we finally sent 12 keen children - some who lived in bushes and on the street, some orphans, one being deaf and mute - to school in Tana.
The youngest child is 5 years old, the eldest is 15. Two of them do not have their birth certificates.
The projects "Narindra" is being monitored by the same-named mid-wife from the “Mobile Hilfe Madagaskar” (MHM). Mrs Narindra regularly meets with the children, at least 2-3 times a week to offer them a sense of safety and comfort.
The endorsement and support by Soroptimist Dubai, Soroptimist Vaduz, Soroptimist Goldes and donations from Dr. Erdmann's hair research made this project possible.
With just 300.- Eur per year, we can send a child to school. These costs cover school feels, materials and catering for the children.

Our school-children are not just smart, but they also have visions.
50% of the girls aim to become a mid-wife, 20% want to become a teacher, another 20% want to study to become doctors, with the remaining 10% having other dream occupations.
